I know this is asked a lot and I do apologize. I have read through the forums and all the solutions point to the update from January 5, 2010 to improve throughput. So far the best throughput I can get is 40 MB/s. That is split between 4 simultanious backups at about 10 MB/s
A little about the Environment
I am running a trial of vRanger Pro 4.5 on a physical box with Windows 2008. I am running a network backup. The physical box has a single 1 Gbp connection to the network. My virtual envrionment is run in vSphere on an Equallogic PS6000. The hosts have 3 physical connections to the switch and then the 4 connections on the SAN to the switch. We are using Flow Control and Jumbo Frames is turned off on the switches. We have two hosts and they in turn are connected to two switches for rundancy. The switches are connected together with 4 LAGs. The repository is actually a VM on the hosts and stores the data back onto the SAN. The Service Console memory is set to the max 800MB on each host..
Thank you in advance for your help!
