We have updated vRanger to the latest version (5.5) and we have a problem with the Quest Catalog Service.
After i updated vRanger the catalog service didnt started.
When i try to start the service i got the following error:
"Windows could not start the Quest Catalog Service on local computer. Error 1053: The service did not respond to start or control request in a timely fashion."
In the eventlog i see following message:
"A timeout was reached (393216 milliseconds) while waiting for the Quest Catalog Service service to connect."
and
"The Quest Catalog Service service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."
I have already checked the database user accounts und rights but everything is correct.
I start the service with a local account who has administartor rights.
For the vRanger and Catalog DB we use a external MSSQL database.
We use the same hardware and software on 3 other sites and there we do not have this problem.
