Hello,

i've restored two VMs with windows Server 2008 R2.

On both VMs the virtual disks was in the wrong order !!

I had to search after the right order of the VMDKS in the VM BIOS to make the restored VM booting. (with 4 disks take some time!)

After that the 2nd problem appears, the network configuration was wrong, both VMs have a DHCP configuration instead of a static IP !

Also more Problems with the network configuration, the active network card was the 4th network Adapter in the restored VM not the 1st one!! Configuration of a static IP was not possible.

I had to delete all of the three wrong network devices by make hidden devices visible. So i had to do many resets of the VM because every time i deleted one of the broken network adapter the VMs hungs up.

Same with the disks and on the 2nd restored VM but there was also the network driver broken, i had to repair the VMware Tools .

I think this is not normal, in older versions 4.5.x i had no problems !

Is this an open Problem in vRanger 5.3.1 ?

Both VMs have UUID disable, quiescing active and working  !

Does any on had the same problems with vRanger Restores ?

Florian
