Hello,
I'm having problem with running FLR from vRanget 5.5. If I try to use File Level Restore or FLR from Manifest. In my opinion this is not related to Solution SOL83269 (https://support.quest.com/Search/SolutionDetail.aspx?ID=SOL83269 - ProcessMonitor is not showing any problems during creating directories in %tmp%) and maybe this is a bug with handling CIFS shares.
I'm using CIFS share for my backups which is located on NAS storage (NETGEAR ReadyNAS 2100). When I'm trying to make a file level restore (from Manifest or normal) every time I'm getting this errors in Windows event log:
FATAL cifs_cant_use CIFS cannot connect to share (localhost;admin@LOCALSTORAGEIP/PATHTOBACKUP/Backup/VMNAME1_42335872-c89a-99b3-0326-55fd55097d08/Webio1_20120713_193649_9ed6186b-79a4-448a-a96b-897102f65320/53/6e) [at do_cifs_mount:142]
I'm not sure if there should be localhost;admin because in CIFS backup repository properties there is localhost\admin. I've tried also using localhost\admin during FLR from Manifest but I'm getting the same error in Windows event log where I can see localhost;admin instead of localhost\admin.
Can someone from vRanger support team can check this out?
Regards
P.S. Categories ("Categories Help others find your content by selecting relevant categories") which I can select during adding new discussion on this forum should contain something which I could select (currently there is only vRanger 3.x so you should add another vRanger versions or just use vRanger).
EDIT: I can create new backup jobs or run existing ones without problems. I'm running vRanger 5.5.0.25454 without using ActiveDirectory.
EDIT2: I've something to add. I've started another topic related to NFS repository (http://communities.quest.com/thread/17348?tstart=0) and just wanted to let you know that when I've created NFS read-only repository from directory which is the same as my CIFS repository I could do File Level Restore without any problems so it looks like there is some issue with handling credentials in CIFS repository type.
