I have found that restoring VMs using v6.0.0 to ESXi 5.1 works correctly except for one small glitch. When the restored VM is powered up the file svrname-xxxxxxxx.vswp now populates in the root of the datastore folder. VMs created from scratch have that file located in the VM folder but every VM with a server OS that is restored using vRanger creates that file on startup in the root folder. If I use Storage Motion to migrate the VM to another datastore that file gets moved into the correct VM folder. Strange...
