slow vranger backup throughput rate on one esx server

Hello,

I'm running vRanger Backups for years now. since roughly 7 days I see, serious issues when backups are processed for all VMs running on one certain host. The throughputrate ist only 1 MB per second.

When I move the VM machines to a different ESX host and run the backup for that machine again, the throughput rate it normal.

My environment is:

Physical vRanger Server, Version 5.3.1 running on Windows 2008 R2. the repositories are located on this server.

All VMWARE ESX servers running version 4.1, Build 348481

managed by vSphere Server 4.1 345043 with vMotion and DRS option.

I run Lan based backups. Tried to run the backup with deactiviated ABM option like it was recommened in another thread. but got the same backup throughput rate varying between zero and 1 MB.

I'd be grateful somedbody could help me on that topic.
