Hello,
we are currently using vRanger 5.3.1. Our backups are saved into a SAN drive.
Since some days, our SAN is becoming slower, but not significantly. The only service we are facing trouble is vRanger, some of the daily backup jobs fail. In the logs we always find the following:
[2013-07-11 06:48:16.288]: Retrieving save points for any full backups associated with this job.
[2013-07-11 06:48:46.318]: Initialization of Backup Job Task failed for VM: XYZ. Reason: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.
All Logfiles do show the same error and it seems to be that there is a 30 sec. Timeout when Retrieving save points. On the successful backed up servers the logfile does tell us that the same process took 10 to 15 sec. I haven't found a setting in the Vizioncore.vRanger.Service.exe.config File saying "save points timeout". Does anyone know, how to set the timeout for retrieving save points to a higer value?
