I would like to see an option for creating jobs that backup using the native virtual disk format - vmdk / vhd, etc. We have a Quantum DXi6702 that does such incredible de-duplication that any amount of compression is really not necessary by the backup application. And, if using Native file format, then theoretically - it would also be a faster backup.
And, since I can present the Quantum DXi6702 to my hosts, I can in DR bring a guest back online off the Quantum - if it was Native format. For now, I use the Quantum vmPRO backup application, and it is slick but a few generations behind vRanger Pro IMHO - but vmPRO will be coming up to speed fast!
